Along with India, it will be introduced in several international markets like Indonesia where it was initially showcased in January 2015. Industry experts believe that with its new Pulsar AS 200, Bajaj will be targeting buyers who are planning to go for an affordable adventure sport bike.

Coming to the technical specifications of the upcoming model, it will come equipped with the same 199.5 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which powers the Pulsar 200 NS. The maximum power produced by it stands at 23 bhp with a peak torque of 18.3 Nm. The new Pulsar 200 AS is designed on the platform of its elder sibling 200 NS and sports a bigger windshield. Experts believe that the front fascia of the bike is inspired from the Discover 150F while the remaining design seems similar to the 200 NS. Equipment in the new bike like semi-digital instrument cluster, grab rails and alloy footrests are sourced from the Pulsar 200NS in an effort to reduce the development costs.
