      iPhone and Android to solve parking woes

      A new application has been introduced for Android and iTunes (iPhone) users to solve their problems if they are unable to find a parking space for their cars. Named as Parker, the innovative application is on the trials in UK and can be downloaded by the users of the above mentioned operating systems. Reportedly, this new application has the potential to scan through the sensors and look for the nearest parking spot for the user. Moreover, this application is smart enough to facilitate drivers to look for empty parking spaces in their nearby area. Owing to the GPS navigation, the drivers will be directed to the parking place.

      Interestingly, such kind of application for smart phones has been introduced for the first time in UK. It must be noted that special kind of sensors have been installed in around 200 parking lots in Manchester, which will locate the smart phone users to the closest free space for parking. During the initial six months, this system will be offered for free; however it will charge a reasonable cost then after. It must be noted that users can also control this application by voice interaction.

      On this new application, industry experts are of a view that it will surely come as a boon for the motorists as it will guide them to empty parking spaces with much convenience. This will eventually assist them to unnecessarily drive around the area and look for a free parking bay. In the initial phase, this application will be only available on Android compatible devices and iPhones, and thereafter will be introduced in other mobile operating systems. Interestingly, Parker has been titled with an innovation award at Barcelona. Reportedly, after the completion of trial period, this application will be connected to City Councils pay by phone system through which it will provide information to the users that for how long and where the parking spaces are occupied.
