      Infiniti Emerg-E concept developed in Europe unveils at the Geneva Motor Show 2012

      Infiniti, the luxury division of the Japanese automaker Nissan, has unveiled the concept model of its mid-engined two-seater sports car, Emerg-E at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. It is the first Infiniti car that has been developed in Europe and is designed to incorporate most modern hardware and research technology.

      The sports car is powered with mid-engined twin motor, electric motors delivering a maximum power of 402 bhp that is capable of accelerating from a standstill to 60 miles/hour in a matter of just 4 seconds and to 130 miles/hour in just 30 seconds with zero emission within a range of 30 miles. With the combined functioning of the petrol engine and twin electric motors, the CO2 emissions tallies to a meager 55 gm/km.

      The compactness of the Emerg-E is measured with a length of 4.464 m and the high performance two-seater embodies four inverters, petrol tank, a new three-cylinder range extending internal combustion engine, lithium-ion battery pack besides twin electric motors effectively draped within aerodynamic and light bodyworks.

      The Infiniti Emerg-E symbolizes the brand’s promise of Inspired Performance with the offering of a package of innovative features coupled with high performance delivery.
