British car marquee Jaguar has launched the locally manufactured Jaguar XJ, 2.0 litre Petrol LWB Portfolio in India priced at Rs 93.24 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai, Pre Octroi). Earlier this year the company had launched locally manufactured XJ 3.0 litre diesel variant in domestic market that ringed in overwhelming response from customers in India. Powering the saloon is the first in segment 2.0 litre i4, turbocharged petrol engine that amalgamates six cylinder refinement and performance with four cylinder economy. The 2.0 litre petrol is capable of belting out maximum power output of 177 kW at 5000 RPM and top torque of 340 Nm at 1750. What makes this engine special is the fact that it aligns three eminent technologies- advanced low-inertia, high pressure direct fuel injection and twin variable valve timing together. This in turn results in remarkable turbocharging drivability with robust low RPM performance and a vast “torque rich power band”.
Jaguar has incorporated a host of advanced features in the inside cabin to improve the comfort quotient for occupants. The rear side inside the cabin has been tweaked primarily. Among the list of new features embedded inside the cabin electrically adjustable rear seats with massage function in three intensity settings, increased rear headroom, Rear Seat Entertainment with two 25.9 cm (10.2) LCD screens, electric rear side window blinds, soft door close, 825 Watt Meridian Surround Audio System, LED reading lights in the rear and newly designed business tables in the rear are included.
