Mercedes Benz B Class, a starting range luxury car, is expected to soon to mark its debut in the Indian auto market. The India bound Mercedes Benz B Class model is scheduled to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month and media reports claim that the car will be officially introduced in the global market during this show.
Manufactured on a front wheel drive platform, the car is blessed with a totally new interior design, spacious interior and greater refinements in power and acceleration characteristics. A high quality material has been used at the dashboard. Development on the Mercedes MFA platform makes the B Class model more flexible and sellable . Powered by a 1.6 litre turbocharged petrol engine, the Mercedes Benz B-Class is expected to deliver a peak power of 121 bhp.
The launch of this smaller and lower price segment series will certainly boost market share of Mercedes in the Indian market, as a large number of Indian buyers are ready to upgrade in the premium segment. The B Class can help the company better in reclaiming its top spot in the Indian market that has been snatched by its arch rival BMW.
The car is also expected to be displayed at the forth coming Delhi International Auto Expo in the month of January 2012, where it is expected to be among the most talked about cars among the car enthusiasts.
