      Audi, the Germany based premium automaker positioned within the Volkswagen Group, is following the trajectory of launching facelift versions with the upcoming 2013 Audi Q5, the leaked images of which are already creating a buzz on the internet. The compact crossover SUV that was the company’s second launch in its Q range will be now endow new stream of engines for more robust performance and is expected to be launched in a hybrid variant also in the US auto market.

      The dynamic new styling on the exterior front comprises of prominent streaks, redesigned head and tail lamps, new front and rear bumpers and a new six point front grille enhancing the overall sporty and upbeat appeal of the premium SUV.

      Along with the undisclosed interior styling tweaks, the new Audi Q5 will embody the innovative and modern technology; MMI (Multi Media Interface) that is effectively includes mobile phone connectivity, multi-touch screen, navigation system, 3D view of key landmarks, USB and radio.

      The company has also revealed that it will be also be introducing the updated version of Q5 in a hybrid variant that comes loaded with a 2.0L four-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.3 kWh electric motor together outpouring a maximum output of 245 bhp with a peak torque of 354 lb-ft.

      Audi Q5 has been originally based upon the MLP (Modular Longitudinal Platform), which the Porsche Macan is said to be incorporating in its next generation version but is scheduled to be launched later this year.
