The title of most fascinating supercar definitely goes to Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, which is also the fastest street-legal production car in the world. The Italian sports car with overwhelming speed and power comes trimmed with a mammoth of an 8.0 litre, quad-turbocharged, W shaped 16 cylinder engine, equivalent to two narrow-angle V8 powertrains (!). The engine assembly churns out an astounding peak and torque equation of 1,184 bhp and 1,250 Nm, respectively. The beast of a sports car can zoom to 100 kmph in less than 2.5 seconds from a standstill, with a registered top speed of 431.072 kmph. Further, Veyron was named Car of the Decade (2000–2009) by the BBC television programme Top Gear.

Another exciting super sports car, Hennessey Venom GT from the stables of Hennessey Performance Engineering requires a mention, when talking about best supercars present across the globe. The Venom GT is based on a highly modified Lotus Exige chassis and is powered by a twin-turbocharged version of the General Motors' 6.2 litre LS9 V8 powertrain, which is also present under-the-hood of Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1. The powerful engine assembly churns out a 1,200 bhp power and comes mated with Ford GT's Ricardo plc 6-speed transmission. The Hennessey stable claims that the Venom GT can reach a top speed of 272 kmph (or 437 kmph), although the supercar has never been tested on road.

Koenigsegg Agera R is another interesting super sports car made by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. The Agera R uses a locally developed 5.0 litre twin turbocharged V8 powertrain, which produces 1,144 bhp of maximum output power at 6900 rpm along with an astonishing torque delivery close to 1,100 Nm from 2700 to 6170 rpm. The Agera R can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of more than 420 kmph (260 mph), although like Venom GT this has not been yet officially verified.

Next in line is the SSC Ultimate Aero, which is also first American product in this list of super sports cars and has been developed by SSC North America (previously known as Shelby Super Cars). The higher performance limited version of Ultimate Aero previously held the Guinness Book of World Records record for being the fastest production supercar in the world. The record was broken by none other than Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, when it touched a maximum speed of 431.072 kmph.

Another captivating addition to the list of supercars is American built Saleen S7 Twin Turbo. The Saleen S7 Twin Turbo is a hand-built, limited production, high performance American super sports car developed jointly by Steve Saleen for the initial concept and direction, Phil Frank for the interior and body CAD design and development, Hidden Creek Industries for resources and initial funding and Ray Mallock Ltd. for its chassis engineering. The stylish sports car incorporates a 7.0 litre twin turbocharged V8 Ford 427 powertrain, which could churn out a peak power output of 750 bhp and a maximum torque delivery up to 949 Nm. The Saleen S7 Twin Turbo can taste a top speed of 399 kmph.
