ICML (International Cars & Motors Ltd), is reportedly planning to launch an all new Sports Utility Vehicle in the Indian market very soon. The company is believed to be launching the Haval H5 SUV of Chinese carmaker, Great Wall Motors. The SUV was recently spotted testing on the roads of Chandigarh, where a reader of a leading auto portal clicked the pictures of the SUV. If launched in the Indian market, the SUV will be taking on with the likes of Tata Safari Storm, Mahindra XUV 500 and Scorpio, and Tata Aria.
The popular Haval H5 model is also known as X240 in some markets and sold in both five and seven seater variants. The SUV is available in both automatic and manual transmission variant in the global market, along with both 4X4 and 4X2 versions.
Powered by a 2.4-litre petrol engine, the Haval H5 SUV delivers a peak power of 134 bhp along with a peak torque of 20.3 kgm. The SUV is also available with 2.5-litre diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 107 bhp along with massive torque of 30.5 kgm.
The dimensions of the SUV are as follows – Width – 1810 mm; Length – 4649 mm; Height - 1735mm. Moreover, the Haval H5 model carries a wheel base of 2700 mm.
