      Hyundai’s new entrant in the compact sedan segment, Xcent that made its debut in the Indian car market recently is riding high on success. The compact sedan has received an excellent response from the customers with over 11,000 bookings within one month of its launch in India. The curiosity among customers for the new compact sedan is immense which is evident from the fact that Hyundai dealers across the nation received as many as 100,000 enquiries for the vehicle. Most of the dealers are getting multiple enquiries and requests for test drives. Maximum enquiries have been made by young families in metropolitan cities and in Tier II cities.

      The highly fuel efficient and advanced 2nd generation U2 CRDi diesel powertrain has been received very well by the Indian customers. Hyundai’s U2 CRDi diesel mill returns an excellent ARAI certified fuel economy of 24.4 kms in a litre. The U2 motor promises effortless acceleration in city as well as on highway driving conditions, besides this it also emits low NVH levels. Flat torque over wide spectrum of RPM and linear power delivery offers improved driveability. Petrol powered Xcent is equipped with a 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine with VTVT technology. The all aluminium petrol motor delivers a best in class ARAI certified fuel economy of 19.1 kms in a litre.

      The modish design and advanced features offered on the new Xcent have made Xcent a preferred choice amongst the first time buyers opting for compact sedan and customers upgrading to a sedan from hatchback. Hyundai has bestowed segment best features inside the vehicle like rear A/C vents, integrated 2-DIN MP3 audio with in-built 1GB memory, diamond cut alloy wheels-two tone design along with smart key with push button start and stop bluetooth connectivity, multifunction steering wheel with bluetooth, audio and trip meter controls, auto folding outside mirrors with electric adjustment function, rear parking sensors, turn indicators on outside mirrors and cooled gloved box.
