VW Vento comes both in petrol as well as diesel versions. There are a total of four different petrol variants, which are priced between the ranges of 7.44 lakhs to 9.92 lakhs INR. On the other hand, the diesel variants are four in number as well, and are priced between 8.57 lakhs to 10.94 lakhs INR. The model runs on an 1197 cc petrol engine, which is capable of producing a power of 103 bhp. The diesel model is powered by a 1498 cc mill, which is capable of generating the same power. There are three types of transmissions available on the model, depending on the trim variety, five-speed manual, six-speed and seven-speed automatic. Power steering enables easy manoeuvring of the vehicle even on tricky roads.
On the other hand, Hyundai Xcent comes in five different diesel models within a price range of 5.7 lakhs to 7.5 lakhs INR. Additionally, it has seven petrol variants that have a tag of 4.8 lakhs INR to 7.3 lakhs INR. Powered by an 1120 cc mill, the car is capable of generating 71.01 bhp at the rate of 4000 rpm. Maximum torque output comes at 180.4 Nm with 1750 to 2500 rpm. Power is transferred to all the four wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. Apart from all comfort features, the car is extraordinary in terms of appearance and has won many hearts since its release. These two models have become the most sought-after budget sedans recently shown by their immense popularity within a short time span.
