The Hyundai Verna facelift will get changes to both exteriors and mechanics. The updated sedan is equipped with new front façade with new grille, newly styled headlamps with integrated projectors, new fog lamps with LED strips surrounding them and new bumper. At the back, the Verna facelift has restyled tail lamps with integrated LEDs while the reflectors at the bumper are all-new. Other changes include new alloy wheels, slightly modified door handles and extra chrome. The interior changes will be minimal. It is expected to get new touchscreen infotainment system, new upholstery for seats and additional airbags.

The updated Hyundai Verna sedan is expected to get modified suspension mechanism. The current model is heavily criticized for its driving feel on highways, mainly because of its steering mechanism. The vehicle is expected to get new steering wheel and updated suspension mechanism to handle rugged roads in better way. Under the bonnet are the same 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and 1.4-litre CRDi and 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engines. A six-speed manual transmission gearbox will be offered as standard. The company might also add a six-speed automatic gearbox instead of the 4-speed autobox.
