The South Korea based leading car maker Hyundai Motors unveiled its much talked about i40 sedan at the Barcelona Motor Show, in Spain on Friday. The all new Hyundai i40 carries Hyundai’s new age fluidic sculpture, making it aerodynamically superior.
The new Hyundai i40 is blessed with company’s new theta-2 directly injected 2.0L petrol engine, which is capable of generating a peak power of 177 bhp along with a peak torque of 213 Nm. The car will also be rolled-out in a 1.7L diesel version which will be capable of delivering a maximum output of 115 bhp with peak torque of 255 Nm.
Moreover, the i40 sedan hosts a range of new generation technological convenience, entertainment and safety features including Bluetooth, steering mounted volume controls, music system, park assist, GPS, multimedia display and many more.
However, it is yet to be disclosed by the company if it will be rolling-out this car in the Indian auto market. At present, the company sells a range of cars in the Indian market including small hatchbacks like Santro Xing and i10, premium hatchback i20, entry level sedan Verna, premium sedan Sonata Transform and sports utility vehicle Hyundai Tucson.
