Hyundai will be launching two new products next year and will updating several of its existing range as well. The Korean automaker will be looking at getting a new MUV that will be competing with the Honda Mobilio and the Renault Lodgy, while on the other hand it has plans to get another new product as well.
We aren’t certain on which will be the new product that the company will be introducing, it could be the new Verna or the new compact SUV that will be smaller than the Creta and competing with the Ford Ecosport. The Hyundai MUV will be powered by a 1.4-litre petrol engine and the diesel will also be a 1.4-litre. The Hyundai MUV will be a seven-seater and it will be based on the Grnad i10 platform. The work on this MUV is being done majorly by the Hyundai R&D Centre team in Hyderabad and it is almost over.
The other updates will include that on the i10 and the Grand i10. Both these hatchbacks will get the new AMT (automated manual transmission) and this makes it competitive against the Celerio and the Wagon R as well. The Korean automaker has plans to increase its production and open a third plant in Tamil Nadu itself. This will help the Korean automaker to enhance its reach.
