Hyundai teases their next fuel-cell crossover

Upon first glance, there’s no denying that this new model (yet to be christened) looks a lot more attractive than the current Tucson FCV. Hyundai’s designers have lent it with a rather sharp nose with piercing head lights and a unique grille. Nothing’s been skimped at the rear, which continues with the overall catchy look thanks to the triangular tail lamps, flat tail gate and busy lines on the bumper.
Reports add that Hyundai’s new fuel-cell tech helps it operate at 60 per cent efficiency, which is roughly an improvement of nine per cent over the Tucson FCV. The result? A staggering claimed range of 804km! Nevertheless, the demand for fuel-cell tech can only take-off when the industry sorts out the lack of refuelling stations on a global scale. However, Hyundai seems to have convinced the South Korean Government on the benefits, and the latter has promised to install more than 100 hydrogen refuelling stations in South Korea by 2020. Stay tuned for more information.
