Hyundai has dropped another teaser of the new Verna, showcasing the design sketch of the new interior. The Korean carmaker has started taking inquiries for the new generation sedan with a new sub-page on their official Indian website.

The design sketch of the interior hints at a fresh, new cabin. The air-con vents have been redesigned, the centre console seemed to have been tweaked with a reworked dashboard layout. Interestingly, the carmaker hasn’t shown a touchscreen infotainment system in the teaser. Instead, there is a 2DIN system with buttons around it. The HVAC control beneath the console seems similar to the current car, however, there will be two cup holders beside the handbrake. Even the steering wheel is newly designed. The new Hyundai Verna is an all-new car, built from the ground up on the new modular Hyundai i20 platform. Its Hyundai Elantra-like styling was revealed in the earlier teaser, which also shows off the signature LED daytime running lamps. It will also get the projector-style fog lamps as seen on the Elantra. The engine options and the generous feature list are expected to be carried forward from the current car.

Hyundai is expected to continue with the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine options, tuned for the new Verna, albeit with better power delivery as well as fuel efficiency. The C-segment sedan will be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options to cater to the diverse Indian car buyers.

Now that the new Verna has been teased a couple of times now, we expect the launch to be just around the corner, with deliveries beginning with the festive season.
