In a bid give a major boost to the quality and durability image of the 2012 Hybrid Sonata sedans, the Korean auto giant Hyundai has come-up with a unique lifetime warranty offer for all battery packs of this car. The move will certainly give an upper hand to the Sonata Hybrid sedans over its rivals like Toyota. As per the recent testing cone by the Korean auto giant on its Hybrid batteries, even after being driven over 300,000 miles, there was only a slight degradation in the output of the model.
In recent years, there has been a major increase for the hybrid technology cars in the developed markets like US, where cars like Toyota Prius, Chevrolet Volt, Nissan Leaf and Honda Civic hybrid have been witnessing a major surge in demand.
While speaking on the performance of the hybrid batteries of the company, Chief Executive Officer of Hyundai, Mr. John Krafcik, said that the company could offer these batteries with lifetime warranty, taking into consideration the low failure rate of these batteries. It is to be mentioned here that Toyota currently offers a warranty of 8 year or 10,000 mile, on its hybrid batteries.
