      Hyundai named official partner for 2013 ICC Womens World Cup

      Hyundai Motor Company (HMC), one of the fastest growing car maker, has been announced as an official partner for the tournaments of International Cricket Council (ICC). Reportedly, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), its completely owned subsidiary, has handed over the keys of 12 models to the 2013 ICC Women’s World Cup in Mumbai for display at the event. The models include new Sonata, Verna and the Elantra, which will be displayed at the entire tenure of the event.

      Reportedly, the keys were handed over at a ceremony organised at the Cricket Club of India, J. N. Tata Pavilion, Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. HMC happens to be the official partner of ICC from 2011 to 2015 and is also provided with ICC’s exclusive category rights. The Indian arm of HMC will promote the 2013 ICC Women’s World Cup India on several social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, among others. With the help of these channels, the auto maker will be distributing the official World Cup trophy photos, match highlights and schedules.

      The Senior General Manager and Group Head of Marketing, HMIL, Nalin Kapoor was quoted as saying at the ceremony, “We are proud to be associated with ICC as an official partner and are delighted to hand over our fleet of cars. We are certain that the experiences provided by Hyundai cars, which symbolize contemporary design and cutting-edge technology will be appreciated by all. Working to build momentum towards the ICC Women’s World Cup India 2013, we are confident that this tournament will be a huge success and wish the very best for all participating teams.”

      Besides, Hyundai India will also organise interactive quiz to gain the engagement of passionate cricket fans. The dealers of car maker are also planning a number of additional activities, in order to promote the event.
