Car badged under Hyundai Motors India limited have been warmly accepted by the domestic population. The carmaker has been one of the strongest competitors to country key player in automobile market, Maruti Suzuki. Hyundai Motors India Limited has recently reported a 11.54% increase in total sales with about 56,010 units being sold in October 2014, as against 50,212 units that were sold last year around the same period.
Commenting more on company’s sales numbers, Rakesh Srivastava, HMIL senior vice president for sales and marketing stated that there has been an increase in sales in additional and replacement buyers segment as the demand is led by new models such as Elite i20 and Xcent during the festive season. Adding further, he said, “We anticipate that this positive momentum would build up further with increase in sales of entry buyers if there is strong promise of improvement in economic and macro factors in rural and urban markets.”
As compared to 14,210 units export last year, Hyundai’s exports have grown by 26.67% with 18,000 units. In the domestic market, Hyundai has reportedly sold about 38,010 units last month as compared to 36,002 units in October last year.
