Hyundai Motor India Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company, has entered into a partnership with KidZania Mumbai. The announcement is quite heartening as it aims to offer young generation of the country with skills and knowledge that are required to become a responsible future driver. Interestingly, KidZania Mumbai happens to be a facility that offers an indoor theme for engaging children into real life role-plays. The facility blends the reality with entertainment to ensure that the participating children are able to enhance their socialisation skills and learn about the virtuosity of mutual cooperation and respect.

It also aims at promoting creativity, self reliance and decision making ability to come up as a self organised and responsible adult. Currently, KidZania Mumbai has collaboration with brands like Yes Bank and Big Bazar. And now through tie-up with Hyundai Motor, the facility wants to emphasise on the finer aspects of automobiles and driving. On the contrary, Hyundai Motor want to add new dimensions to its youth engagement programme. Furthermore, the auto maker is also exploring viable measures to further build on its brand name in the near future. Experts also feel that this is a great initiative taken by the auto maker for marketing through edutainment.

Nalin Kapoor, Senior General Manager and Group Head Marketing for Hyundai India, was quoted as saying, "We are delighted to be associated with innovative edutainment concept by KidZania. Hyundai has always been on the forefront in innovation marketing and this is one step in this direction. Unified with reality and entertainment, this initiative will provide tutoring to kids on the automotive industry in an informative and fun way. This type of knowledge embraces the understanding of road traffic rules, basic driving skills, and responsible approach towards the safety. As a responsible corporate we want to emphasis on the importance of safe driving, and through this innovative marketing platform we will communicate the message of safe driving to all the children."

On the same lines, the Chief Marketing Officer at KidZania India, Viraj Jit Singh also remarked, "We are extremely excited about having Hyundai Motor India, a globally successful brand partner us on the 3 auto related activities. Hyundai is aligned with our philosophy of social responsibility. The Hyundai DMV Road safety program at KidZania Mumbai will through the use of top of the line simulators empower the next generation of drivers in India with road-etiquette, social responsibility and know-how of traffic rules."

The agreement will see Hyundai establishing first children’s driving school at the facility of KidZania Mumbai. The age group that will be targeted is from 4 to 14 years. Also, Hyundai's partnership with KidZania Mumbai will see establishment of Department of Motor Vehicle, car dealership and driving street.

The Hyundai Department of Motor Vehicle offers driving courses that include driving rules and regulations. Children would be able to acquire driving licence after passing the driving test. A licence in kitty means that the kid would be able to operate battery fitted vehicles at the Driving Streets. The Hyundai KidZania Dealership will provide opportunity to know more about the Hyundai Cars. Children would be able to take up challenging automobile consultant role and even design Hyundai models at the car designing area.
