      Hyundai India sales increase by 8.5 per cent in January 2018

      Hyundai reported a hike of 8.5 per cent in overall sales for January 2018. This includes domestic sales and exports, both of which, have shown an increase adding to the company's growth.

      The company sold 56,216 vehicles in January 2018, while it had sold 51,834 units in the year-ago period. Domestic sales are also up by 8.3 per cent as the carmaker sold 45,508 units last month as against 42,017 units sold in the same month last year. The export numbers also climbed up by 9.1 per cent with 10,708 units as compared to 9,817 units a year ago in the same period.

      Rakesh Srivastava, Director, sales and marketing, Hyundai India, said, "2018 has started on a positive note and promises progressive growth for the industry, with Hyundai volume growth of 8.3 per cent on strong performance of the Grand i10, Elite i20, Creta and the next-gen Verna meeting customer aspirations on improved buying potential, led by stable micro economic factors."
