Hyundai India, the domestic arm of South Korean auto maker, seems all set to introduce its much awaited Santa Fe in a refreshed avatar. Reportedly, the launch of new SUV will replace its existing model, and might turn out to be a volume puller for the company as the current generation model has not performed fairly well in the market.
Featuring Hyundai’s much acclaimed fluidic design, the model is expected to strike right chords with the hearts of Indian buyers. It must be noted that no official information has been yet disclosed by the auto maker about the 2013 Santa Fe. However, industry experts believe that the model will come equipped with a 2.2 litre diesel engine, which will have a brilliant output. Upcoming Santa Fe is anticipated to come in both automatic as well as manual transmission system, in order to cater the demand of a large number of buyers.
The model is expected to compete against SsangYong Rexton, Ford Endeavour and recently introduced Honda CR-V, among others. Keeping in mind that the model will be provided with fluidic structure, the yet-to-launched Santa Fe will have an edge over its stiff rivals on the grounds of design. Experts believe that the model has also received a number of noticeable changes at its interiors as the cabin has received a new dashboard. The material used at interiors is of premium quality and are much better than what has been packed within the current generation model. Other features expected to come equipped within the new model include a front bumper, fog lamps and a vertical chrome plated grille, which will provide a dominating look to the model.
However, the auto maker has not revealed the exact launch date of the model for the Indian market; however industry experts believe that it will witness the daylight somewhere in second half of the current year. The launch of a new model in premium SUV space will surely help Hyundai India to record some decent sales volume as domestic buyers have developed a penchant for them.
