Hyundai has set a new record to more than 1 lakh export orders from nearly 98 countries in less than seven months of its launch. Diverse countries spanning different continents have ordered Hyundai i10 to be imported from India. Hyundai is India's second largest car manufacturer and has made India as its exports and manufacturing hub for its small cars.

Hyundai i10 made its debut at Bologna Auto Show in December last year. It has bagged order for 106,749 units from India since then. UK's Autocar has voted it as the best car in its segment in the group test. Hyundai becomes the most popular car ever as the one lakh unit export orders comes in a record time of less than 7 months.

"We are extremely delighted as we reach the fastest one lakh unit export mark for the i10. We always believed that the i10 is a world class car and can compete with all other global compact cars on even footing. The one lakh export orders in such a short time are a confirmation of our belief. Even in the domestic market the demand is very strong with sales of over 65,000 units and to meet the expectations of both the markets we are trying very hard to produce as many i10’s as possible. The i10 undoubtedly is on its way to becoming a segment leader," said HS Lheem, Managing Director, Hyundai Motors India Limited.

Hyundai i10 has already bagged the most coveted "India Car of the Year" award from the most elite auto journalists in India. It is already on the way to become a true global car for the world around us.
