The Grand i10 hatchback is a major contributor to Hyundai’s sales in the country. In the current fiscal year, Hyundai has already sold around 107,811 units between April-December 2016 as against 97,805 units in the same period in 2015. This also projects that the Grand i10 has been a considerable contributor to cumulative sales figure of 5 lakh units in the domestic market in 2016, thereby registering a growth of 5.2 per cent.
Reports indicate that in the ongoing financial year, the Grand i10 from Hyundai averages close to 11,979 unit sales and has increased its market share to 22 per cent. The numbers are likely to increase with more three months remaining in the current fiscal year. The hatchback claimed the fifth position in terms of sales in the country in 2016.
Soon, Hyundai will be launching the Grand i10 facelift in the country to keep the product’s spark alive in the country. The new model will get fresh cosmetic and feature upgrades, while mechanically it will continue to be powered by 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine and 1.1-litre three cylinder U2 VGT diesel engine which produces 82bhp of power and 70bhp of power respectively. The new model is expected to get revised upholstery, new instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system in the top-spec version.
