Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS launched in India at Rs 4.99 lakhs

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 4.99 lakhs (All-India Ex-showroom introductory). It is being offered across 10 variants (seven petrol and three diesel) with six colour options.

The Grand i10 Nios retains the familiar shape and silhouette of the Grand i10 but with new design elements to usher the car into a new generation. Exterior highlights include a new grille, headlamps, alloy wheel design as well as the shape of the tail lamps. There are six colour options including two dual tone options.

Its business as usual inside with a white and black combo defining the cabin with the usual luxuries like climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as a part of the deal. All variants get dual front airbags and ABS with EBD as a part of layout. Hyundai is also offering dual tone colour schemes for the cabin in two colour options.
The Grand i10 NIOS is being offered with one petrol and diesel engine. Both are 1.2-litre units and produce 82bhp/114Nm and 74bhp/190Nm respectively. A five-speed manual is standard for both cars with a five-speed AMT also on offer for both the petrol and diesel engines with the latter being a first for the Grand i10 range. The petrol MT has an ARAI efficiency of 20.7kmpl while the AMT's is 20.5kmpl. The diesel MT and AMT efficiency is 26.2kmpl.

The Grand i10 Nios will be sold alongside the existing Hyundai Grand i10 and rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo, Tata Tigor as well as the upcoming Renault Triber.`
