The Hyundai Grand i10 sprang to fame instantly with a diesel engine option in the hatchback segment. The Grand i10 gained a strong footing in the Indian market with its refined and reliable diesel engine that is claimed to be highly fuel efficient in this category by the manufacturer. In order to further make its presence felt in this segment, Hyundai Grand i10 has recently been launched in an LPG variant. The newer LPG fuel type shall be available in Magna variant and has been launched at an attractive price tag of about Rs. 4.92 Lakhs for the solid color variant , whereas the metallic paint variant is priced at about Rs. 4,96,034 (ex-showroom Delhi). The LPG variant is also expected to generate a similar amount of curiosity among the buyer lot in the country.

The LPG version of Grand i10 shall be powered by 998cc Kappa petrol engine that generates power of about 68 bhp with a peak torque output of about 94 Nm at 3,500 rpm. Surprisingly, as per ARAI certification, the newer version shall deliver fuel efficiency of about 20.3 kmpl. One of the reasons linked to higher efficiency is the usage of a smaller sized engine. Regular features in the Magna variant like central locking, keyless entry, fog lamps, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors, power windows and rear air-con vents shall be retained in the LPG version as well.

The new Grand i10 LPG launched by Hyundai is expected to perform well in local market owing to constantly rising fuel prices in the country. Moreover, Hyundai has priced the LPG i10 strategically well under the affordable price bracket in the country, thereby making it a tough contender in its segment. The LPG version gets 34 Liter tank along with two-year unlimited kilometers warranty on on the kit.
