Selling 44,008 cars in November 2017, Hyundai has registered a 10 per cent growth over the 40,016 units it sold in November 2016.
Hyundai has also exported 2,022 units of the all-new India-made Hyundai Verna for the Middle-East markets out of the total order of over 10,000 units. The Hyundai Verna has been able to penetrate the C-Segment successfully, taking it over from the Honda City and the Maruti Ciaz. With the Elite i20 and the Grand i10 performing steadily, Hyundai has managed to stay afloat in the shrinking market.
Hyundai’s sales have shrunk a bit month-on-month as the Korean major sold close to 50,000 units in the last two months, but that is also because of the demand correction to work around the slow months towards the end of the year. With the GDP growth back on track this month, the sales numbers should start picking up again after New Year to reach the 3 million mark for the overall passenger vehicle sales in India in a financial year.
