Hyundai Motor Company, the South Korean multinational automaker has announced the grand debut of its new Hyundai i30 in a three-door body style complementing the five-door hatchback and the wagon/tourer body styles at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The motoring showcase at Paris is set to commence on 29th September, where the car maker is missioned to exhibit its ‘Made for Europe’ C-segment range to lure the multiplying number of hatchback enthusiasts.
In 2011, the Hyundai i30 emerged as the best selling model from amongst its global portfolio and this new and chic three-door i30, manufactured at its Czech factory is anticipated to carry forward the successful sales turnout derived from the range.
Set to be manufactured at the company’s Czech production plant, the dashingly smart Hyundai i30 three-door model will boast a new rear bumper, redesigned grille, 16 inch alloy wheels, sloping roofline along with new fog light clusters with daytime running LEDs. Also in store is the tailgate-mounted spoiler and more angular glasshouse with lengthier front doors rendering it a sleeker appeal in comparison to its five-door sibling.
The new Hyundai i30 three-door model will be offered with four engine options with five power outputs working in tandem with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions. In terms of carbon emissions and economy, the 1.6-litre diesel powerplant churning out a peak power of 126 bhp emits only 97g/km of CO2 implying an enhanced economy of 70 mpg.
Since it shares the same technology as its siblings in the i30 range, the three-door version will also include Flex Steer adaptive steering.
