      Hyundai and Shell renew their partnership

      Shell, one of the leading global lubricant suppliers for automobiles, recently renewed its 5-year-old partnership with the South Korean auto maker Hyundai for the next 5 years. Vice President of Shell Global Marketing and the Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor Company announced the renewal of their 5 year old agreement, extending their partnership to almost a decade, on 28th January during an official press event.

      Shell lubricants will be promoted by Hyundai workshops and outlets all over the globe. According to the contract, Hyundai will be retailing the lubricants from the company in more than 70 countries around the world. The two companies are conspiring to take care of customer satisfaction by providing them with everything they need under one roof. The contract signed by the two companies covers all the Shell Helix products, including all the motor oils and also the latest Shell Helix Ultra. Hyundai will also be promoting either Shell or Shell owned companies at each of its outlet, marketing their official partner. In USA, the South Korean company will be promoting Quaker State lubricants, a company owned by Shell.

      Tak Uk Im, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor Company, told the media that Shell lubricants will be one of the driving forces behind the company’s international growth. He further added that both the companies want to produce new technical and marketing initiatives and that their partnership will lead to better customer satisfaction, especially in the after sales service experience. Roger Moulding, Vice President of Shell Global Marketing and Global Key Accounts, was also present at the occasion and told the media that the two companies want to jointly develop and supply high-quality motor oils for Hyundai customers across the globe.

      The two companies will be working on developing new motor oils for Hyundai vehicles, to increase its engine life. Hyundai and Shell have been collaborating on the race track also and became technical partners in last year’s FIA World Rally Championships that was a huge success for both.
