Honda is slowly entering the lower car segments in emerging car markets. We have already seen the Brio platform utilized for the hatchback, amaze compact sedan and the Mobilio MPV. The Mobilio MPV is a seven-seater mover for the emerging markets, while the sub-4 metre compact MPV will be positioned under the Mobilio and sit lower in the price range. The company is studying this sub-compact MPV segment; however, the decision on the development of this new three row MPV is yet to be finalised.

The Japanese automaker is also working on a series of new cars, which are specifically developed for emerging markets including India and Indonesia.
