Honda cars will mandatorily get dual airbags from April 2017. The company recently announced that they will offer dual SRS airbags across all its models as standard from April 2017.

The Government of India is also planning to make frontal and side impact crash tests compulsory from October 2017. The cars produced then will need to have dual airbags and some additional safety features to pass the crash test. Honda strives to make their cars safer and plans to equip their cars with all these safety features before this mandate.

Similar to Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota and even Maruti Suzuki, Honda will start offering airbags compulsorily on almost all of its mass products. The company has devised some methods like active and passive safety with the use of new technology for achieving better road safety. This will incorporate the use of ABS, EBD, HID headlamps, multi-view cameras etc. to improve all-round safety. Apart from this, Honda will equip their cars with a structurally rigid ACE body structure and increase the measures to reduce fatalities during an accident.
