Honda had displayed its small car at the Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year. Now the company will unveil the car’s prototype at the the upcoming Thailand International Motor Expo this month, leading up to a speculated launch of the vehicle in India in 2011. The car had generated quite a lot of buzz in the Indian auto-sphere. The car, which will be “reasonably” priced at Rs.5 lakh has also caught the eye of the average Indian buyers.

The single model will spawn two different versions that will share the same basic design – the Thai-built version will focus on fuel efficiency while another version for India will suit the country’s growing small car market. Honda promises that the production version of the New Small Concept will go “beyond the expectations of customers in rapidly growing markets and offer it at an affordable price.”

Alongside the prototype, Honda will also display a range of models including the Accord, City, Civic, Jazz/Fit, CR-V and Freed.
