In order to further expand its market share, Honda Cars India is aiming to launch a series of new products in the Indian car market. The company launched the Mobilio MPV in mid-2014, and is now gearing up to launch the much-awaited new generation Honda Jazz hatchback in the country. Adding to it, the company is aiming to give mid-life facelifts to its popular cars including Amaze compact sedan and CR-V SUV. Coming to the premium segment, the Japanese maker is planning to re-launch the Accord brand in the country. Interestingly, the company has recently imported the new generation Civic diesel, which is also likely to make its comeback in the market.

With the growing demand for compact SUVs, carmakers are launching their sub-compact and compact SUVs in the market. Honda is also contemplating a sub-4 metre SUV for the Indian market. However, the company hasn't yet revealed if they will launch a sub-4 metre SUV or a SUV above 4 metre in length. If media reports are to be believed, the maker is working on Brio based mini SUV to compete against the likes of Ford EcoSport and upcoming cars from Volkswagen, Tata, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki and Nissan.

Honda will also launch the mid-life facelift version of the successful Amaze compact sedan. The overall appearance of the car would remain unchanged; however, the company might give some small tweaks to keep it fresh in the highly competitive segment. Major change is likely to be offered on the mechanical part of the car. The Amaze facelift is expected to have better NVH (Noise Vibration & Harshness) levels.

Surprisingly, Honda is also working on a new small 1.2-litre i-DTEC diesel motor. This engine is speculated to power the next-generation Brio hatchback, which is expected to be launched by 2017. The CR-V facelift is also due for 2015 launch, while the ninth generation Accord is likely to go on sale by the end of 2015.
