      Honda’s next-gen CR-V shot testing in China

A heavily camouflaged HondaCR-V was caught testing in China; a market that is crucial for this vehicle. Reports state that this iteration of the CR-V is expected to be the fifth generation of the car, and should debut in the Chinese market in mid-2017.

Most people will be able to spot the apparent design resemblance when compared to the new Honda Civic. We also noted some unique traits from this test mule, like the new Honda grille that’s flanked by the two LED headlamps, sporty lines of the bonnet, a sunroof, new shape for the tail lights and the twin chrome exhausts.

Powering the next generation Honda CR-V will be a series of motors like the 1.5-litre VTEC, 2.0-litre VTEC, and the 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine, specifically for the European market. Sources suggest that Honda’s new CR-V could hit the market abroad in early 2017, and it should be available to our buyers in India by the festive season in 2017.

We shall give you more news on the upcoming CR-V in the months to come.
