      Honda Road-Safety receives overwhelming response at 34th India International Trade Fair

      For a while now, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has been undertaking many social and corporate welfare initiatives in the country to create more road-safety awareness among commuters. This time around Honda along with support from Delhi Traffic Police has ensured successful participation of public at 34th India International Trade Fair 2014 that was held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

      Speaking more on the occasion, Mr. Yadvinder S. Guleria, Vice president- Sales & Marketing, said, “Road safety is the topmost priority at Honda and as a responsible corporate firm we would like to inculcate this in the society through various such activities. India International Trade Fair is a great platform to reach out to a wide audience and for the last 7 years we try to ensure the message of Road-safety percolates further into the society. Also, over the years we have received an overwhelming response. Further, continuing the trend this year we are proud to have successfully trained more than 6000 adults and over 2000 kids on importance of safety riding this year.”

      At the venue Honda's safety instructors reportedly successfully trained more than 6000 adults and over 2000 kids who attended the event. Kids as young as 5-6 year-olds also participated at the event via the “fun way” of education using the role plays, interactive games etc. The company had also imported Honda CRF 50 model from Japan to help young minds understand the importance is safety riding. HMSI also created a protected road environment at the pavilion to give a practical road experience to kids aged between 9-12 years.
