The Honda City has been the best-selling car from the automaker's line-up. Last month too, 5,187 units were sold. With 34,125 units sold from January to July this year, this car also becomes the highest selling mid-sized sedan in India. Honda's newly launched W-RV crossover also helped boost the carmaker's sales as 4,243 units were sold. Additionally, 1,307 units of the Jazz, 1,193 units of the Amaze, 567 BR-Vs, 283 Brios and 24 CR-Vs were sold by the company in June 2017.

Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, "HCIL conducted a price protection in June to those customers who purchase cars before GST roll out in order to counter the sales challenge during pre-GST period. It helped us maintain good sales numbers. We foresee that the GST rollout, good monsoon forecast and upcoming festive season will further improve the buyers’ sentiment.”

Apart from the hike in domestic sales for HCIL, the company's exports havealso increased to 450 units. Clearly, it is the Honda City that helped the manufacturer record good sales numbers last month. And then, the newly launched W-RV haspromised a further growth impetus. Moreover, Honda's after sales-service in India is backed up by a strong dealer network of 347 facilities across 232 cities.
