The countdown for the launch of this year’s most awaited MPV named Honda Mobilio has began. Dealers across the country have started accepting bookings for the vehicle at Rs. 50,000. Honda has also reportedly started the production of the Mobilio at its manufacturing unit located in Greater Noida. The company has not revealed the exact pricing for this Mobilio MPV, but it is expected to be launched somewhere around Rs. 7 - 9 lakhs (Ex Showroom) bracket.

To make the launch even more special, the Japanese car-maker Honda has reportedly roped-in popular comedian Kapil Sharma for its new commercial. The advertisement is expected to help further as the comedian has been a household name owing to his prime-time scheduled comedy shows.

Mobilio’s extended dimensions are its USP, unlike most of its rivals that are categorized under the compact segment. The MPV is going to be literally huge with a length of 4,390 mm, width of 1680 mm and height of 1610 mm. A large wheelbase of 2650 mm will allow ample space for the passengers sitting at rear. Ground clearance of 185 mm will enable the driver to manoeuvre effortlessly through the tricky Indian roads.

Honda Mobilio MPV shall be available in Petrol as well as Diesel variants. The petrol version shall be powered by 1.5 Liter petrol engine. The diesel variant also gets a 1.5 Liter turbo diesel engine. Both the engines have been mated to 5 Speed manual gearbox. Based on unofficial reports, the Mobilio MUV is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of about 24.2 kmpl in diesel, whereas the petrol variant is expected to deliver about 18.2 kmpl.

The interiors seems have been well thought by Honda. The lower portion of the instrument panel has been reduced and the seats carry a concave design to deliver maximum leg room. The interior is quite spacious and carries the rich Honda feel. On the exterior front, the Mobilio MPV carries sharp contours and looks decent yet classy. The window for the last row passengers looks stylish and attention grabbing. The higher end version of this MPV gets a roof mounted spoiler and stylish reflectors placed at the base of the door.
