Japanese auto-giant Honda has been known to promote its vehicles backed by a strong message. This time around a new commercial created by Dentsu Marcom for newly launched Activa 125 brings out the stepping up in life theme and living life with fun element. The STD variant is priced at Rs 52,447 and the DLX variant is available for Rs 58,156 (ex-Showroom Delhi).
The recently introduced HET – Honda Efficient technology has been claimed to be successful on Activa 110 and Activa-i. The technology may find its way into the new variant of Activa as well. Moreover, the new 125 cc Activa features force air-cooled and single cylinder engine that is complimented with variator-controlled automatic transmission technology. Referring to the HET innovation, sources added, this technology uses low friction parts in the engine and has also used better air filters. This helps in reducing the overall engine friction, thereby delivering around 60 kmpl, as seen from the existing 110 cc Activa and Activa-i variant.
Honda has affixed 12-inch 90/90 section tyres in the front, while rear sports a 10-inch 90/100 section tyres. Five spoke alloy wheels enhance the overall appearance of the scooter. Front gets a telescopic forks and spring loaded hydraulic type suspension is affixed at the rear. There is an option of 190 mm font disc brake, while 130 mm drums brakes are offered as standard at the rear. Combi Brake System at the rear is also offered as optional feature. The new Activa 125 gets a 125 cc, four stroke, single cylinder motor that is mated to a V-matic CVT gearbox. The engine develops a maximum power of 8.6 Bhp and a top toque of 10.12 Nm.
