As per the latest sales report, Honda has managed to earn the third spot as the third-largest car-maker in July with its volumes rising considerably by 40% with 15,709 units. Till now this third position was held by Indian car-maker Mahindra who is known to be the king of MUV segment in India. This time around, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited has reportedly seen a dip of about 5% with sales of about 14,708 units.

Speaking more on the occasion, Jnaneswar Sen, senior VP for marketing and sales said, “It (Being No. 3) is not our target and one month sale is no indicator of ranking. Having said that, we are happy with our own sales, we should strive to consistently doing well with our models and achieve our volumes plans. We wanted to see the response to the Mobilio and so far, it has exceeded our expectation. If things stay this way, then we may have to start planning about second shift in Tapukara, plant soon.”
