Honda, slowly and steadily, has become a household name in the Indian two wheeler market and its growth is evident by kind of activities the firm is getting involved in these days. Recently, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd (HMSI) has signed an official memorandum of understanding with Chandigarh Traffic Police, collaborating to promote the idea of road safety in states of Punjab and Haryana. Due to this collaboration with the Chandigarh Traffic Police, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese firm will overtake a Traffic Education Park in the region.

This park, located in Chandigarh’s sector 23-A, has been earmarked and designed specifically for a singular purpose, spreading over 15 acres of land. The company has vowed to provide Lifetime Safety Education to all groups, beginning from children going to school aged 5 to adults along with women, who will get special focus with the aim of getting the leverage of independent mobility. At this location, people will get trained by Honda safety instructors, who will pay extra attention to new riders, helping them understand the value of riding vehicles in the correct way. These instructors are going to help people aged above 13 to become aware of all possible risks that come up while travelling on Indian roads.

According to claims made by the company, around 60000 people, coming from all ages, have been trained and a similar number is targeted with this new initiation.
