      Honda Brio and Mahindra SUV to be launched on September 28th

      The last week of the month September 2011 is going to be the time of huge excitement for the car enthusiasts in the Indian market as two of the most awaited vehicles in the country – premium hatchback Honda Brio and Mahindra XUV 500 are expected to mark their debut in a single day on 28th September. Both Honda Brio and Mahindra XUV 500 have been considered the biggest car launches of the month as a huge number of car lovers are waiting for these cars to hit the Indian roads.

      Honda Brio, whose launch has been postponed for a several times in last one year, will be finally hitting the road on September 28th. The car will be launched in the price range of Rs 4.5 to 5.5 lakh, where it will be fighting for space with a number of competitors including Ford Figo, new Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo, Nissan Micra, Chevrolet Beat and Toyota Etios Liva. The car will only be launched in petrol version, initially.

      On the other hand, the launch of Mahindra XUV 500 will be the biggest launch of the year in the utility vehicle segment. The XUV 500 has already started grabbing headlines of auto media and car enthusiasts even before its launch in the Indian market. The XUV 500 will come powered by a 2.2L diesel engine unit which is capable of delivering a massive power of 138 bhp along with a peak torque of 32.5 kgm. The XUV 5000 will be competing with the likes of Skoda Yeti and Tata Aria in the price segment of Rs 14 to 17 lakh.
