Honda Amaze has pocketed a new special special feat in its list of achievements as it registers its name in the Guinness book of World Records for the longest journey by a car in a single country. Honda kicked off its journey named, “Longest Drive through Amazing India” in a Honda Amaze on 15th September, 2014. The sedan has reportedly successfully covered a total distance of about 23,800kms that ran through congested city roads, mountainous terrains, coastlines and highways. During its 55 day journey, the Amaze sedan from Honda has reportedly covered over 400 towns in the country.
At the event, speaking more on this marvelous feat, Mr. Hironori Kanayama, President & CEO of Honda Cars India Ltd, said, "We are happy to announce that Honda Cars India has added yet another milestone to its journey by entering the Guinness World Records for the longest journey by car in a single country. The drive through various terrains is testimony to the durability, quality and reliability of Honda Amaze. These qualities have found their way into the Indian market and the car has garnered excellent response from the customers.”
A series of 'webisodes' on 'Drive through Amazing India' that shall be followed by 'Longest Drive through Amazing India', shall be hosted by noted Indian author Chetan Bhagat. As part of web series, Bhagat would be traveling to unexplored places in India, post which a contest would be held asking readers to post their stories and photos from unexplored places in Amazing India.
