      Honda Amaze and Brio gets mild updates, price remain unchanged

      Honda India has quietly upgraded its compact sedan, Amaze and B segment hatchback Brio. Both the vehicles have not undergone any price change and are available at the same cost. Honda has included and removed certain features across range of both the vehicles. Modifications made to Amaze and Brio is confined to cosmetic revivification on the outside and inside while mechanically both the cars remain unchanged.

      Honda’s popular compact sedan, Amaze now features restyled ORVMs that resemble with the ones equipped in new City. A new colour shade- Golden Brown has been added while the company has removed option of Crystal Black Pearl shade. Cabin gets a new combi-meter with white illumination, blue gradiation and a pointer, though this feature is being offered on EX, S and VX (offered in manual and automatic) trims only. S trim available in manual and automatic gearbox has been fitted with a double horn. On the other hand equipments including rear grab rails, door centre sash tape and tachometer have been excluded from the entry level E variant.

      Honda Brio also gets new ORVMs borrowed from City sedan. A new shade-Majestic Blue has been added to Brio range. Like Amaze, Brio too gets new-combi meter on select variants including EX and S trims. S trim features double horn, while equipments such as front and rear mud flaps and assistant side seat back pocket have been removed from S trim. The EX trim now comes devoid of centre sash tape and entry level E variant loses out on tachometer.

      Under the hood is the same 1.2 litre, i-VTEC petrol engine powering both the models. Amaze is also offered in a 1.5 litre, i-DTEC diesel powertrain outputting 100 PS of maximum power and 200 Nm of pinnacle torque. Both the engines are matched to a five-speed manual transmission.
