Honda Cars India has introduced a new VX(O) trim for its two entry level cars- the Brio hatchback and the Amaze compact sedan. The new variants will be positioned above the VX trim with manual transmission only. It is equipped with few new additional features to compete well against the Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Swift.
The new variants for the Brio and Amaze are equipped with features like white illumination speedometer with blue gradation and new outside rear view mirrors. The new trim for both the vehicles also features a 15.7cm touch screen that works as a display for maps, satellite-based voice guided navigation, in-car entertainment and connectivity features such as USB, AUX-in, etc. The vehicles also get Bluetooth connectivity which allows consumer to sync their mobiles to access various phone applications. It also gets rear defogger and electrically foldable wing mirrors, which were offered with the SX variant.
The Honda Brio and Amaze are propelled by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that is good for 87bhp and 109Nm of torque. The Amaze compact sedan is also available with diesel powertrain. It is powered by a 1.5-litre oil burner that produces 99bhp of power and 200Nm of torque.
