      HMSI to launch its first mass market intended bike Dream Yuga on 15th May

      Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese company, Honda Motor Company is gearing for the grand launch of its new motorcycle, Dream Yuga in the Indian market. It is the first mass market oriented motorcycle to be launched by the company in India and will be rolled out in the country under the Dream marquee, which are intended to provide comfortable conveyance coupled with affordability.

      The company will be launching the Dream Yuga in five exciting colour options and the designing tweaks will be similar to the styling of Honda Shine. The motorcycle is incorporated with features such as longer seat, electric self-starter, full chain cover, alloy wheels, maintenance free battery and is optioned with tubeless tyres.

      HMSI has loaded the Dream Yuga with a 110cc single-cylinder Honda motor that is capable of outpouring a peak power of 9 bhp at 7500 rpm. The company has stated that the bike can easily deliver a top mileage of 72 kmpl.

      Honda Dream Yuga was showcased recently at the 2012 Delhi International Auto Expo and HMSI has announced that it will hit the Indian market on 15th May this year. The price to be tagged on the bike will be revealed by the company on the launch event. However, it is expected that since the Dream Yuga is targeted towards the mass market segment, the pricing will be settled in the range of around Rs. 46000 to give a stiff rivalry to the established brands such as Splendor Prop, Bajaj Discover, Yamaha YBR and Hero MotoCorp Passion Pro.
