For a while now reports of 110cc motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp with iSmart tech had been doing rounds. Back in November last year, sources had spotted a heavily camouflaged test mule. This time around, fresh uncamouflaged images the bike have surfaced thereby hinting on its possible launch sometime soon.
As per sources, the upcoming iSmart technology loaded bike shall be powered by 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine. Based on Hero’s i3S technology the bike would also get idle stop-start system that offers enhanced fuel mileage figures as it shuts down the engine while idling and turns-on the engine as soon as the rider presses the clutch.
Based on what can be seen, the bike features a 5-step adjustable suspension at the rear, while the front gets telescopic forks. The upcoming bike may also get black alloy wheels, spilt pillion grab rails, chrome-tipped exhaust, clear lens turn-indicators, long contoured seat and an instrument cluster with Blue dials. It is likely that the bikemaker may showcase the production version at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo event in Delhi. Though its official name is not out yet, sources believe it could be rechristned as Passion iSmart.
