Country's largest bikemaker Hero Motocorp has been a leading player in the commuter segment. The company had introduced innovative i3S technology last year in the Splendor iSmart. The bike indeed found many takers in the country owing to its best fuel efficiency in its segment. This time around sources have managed to capture shots of a new bike likely to be the Passion brand that could get iSmart technology and powered by 110cc engine.
The anticipated new Hero Passion could be powered by 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine mated to four-speed gearbox and generate about 9-10bhp of power. The idle stop-start system would deliver better fuel efficiency than the older generation as it automatically turns-off the engine while idling and immediately starts when the rider turns the throttle.
Though most part of the bike had been camouflaged, the new 110cc bike could get split grab rails, blue-lit instrument cluster, clear lens turn-indicator, black alloy wheels and new set of graphics. Post launch, it is anticipated to offered at slightly higher price tag than the regular Passion variant.
