Unveiled earlier in the month of February at the 2014 Auto Expo, prices of new Hero Motocorp Karizma R and ZMR have been revealed. The Karizma R is priced at Rs 83,158 and Karizma ZMR is tagged at Rs 1,04,986 (ex-showroom Pune). Bookings are also open for the two new bikes at authorized dealers of Hero Motocrop.
Sources close to development suggest that bookings will commence in a while which hints at the official launch to be happening soon. Both the bikes sport styling modifications, besides this, new features have also been added and changes have also been made on the mechanical front. Powering the bikes are a set of new 223 cc four stroke, air and oil cooled engines replaced by the conventional engines sourced from Honda.
The oil cooled, fuel injected motor housed in new Karizma ZMR has been revised to churn out enhanced power output by 2.2 Bhp to 19.8 Bhp and increased torque by 1.35 Nm to 18.35 Nm. On the other hand Karizma R now comes equipped with an air cooled and carbureted engine capable of pumping out a top power and torque output of 19 Bho and 19.35 Nm respectively. The increased power and torque output enables improved acceleration. Both the engines are paired to a five-speed manual transmission.
New additions in the Karizma R include semi fairing with projector head lights, split seats and new exhaust canister, disc brakes at front and a drum brake at the rear. While Karizma ZMR comes with full fairing with projectors and disc brakes on both the wheels. Electric start and alloy wheels are being offered as standard features on the new editions of both Karizma R and Karizma ZMR. Both the bikes will be available in five color options.
