Hero MotorCorp was also planning to set-up a testing track in the plant premises. If the local government obliges to the requested incentives and facilities, this would be the sixth two wheeler factory to be set-up in the area. Speaking more on the issue, Jagadish Shettar said, “The government should give them incentives and facilities demanded by them as it is likely to create 25,000 jobs in phases which will benefit the people of North Karnataka.”

Hero MotoCorp had put forth a request for a total of about 500 acres, of which 300 acres has been sanctioned for the company and another 100 acres has been sanctioned for its ancillaries. Water and electricity needs have been taken care of by the government.
