Hero MotoCorp, the largest two-wheeler maker in the Indian market, announced the launch of its first Hero branded bike – Hero Impulse – in the Indian auto market. The company has said that the bike will soon be available for sale in the country. The Hero impulse is priced at Rs 66,800 (ex-Delhi showroom).
Powered by a 150CC engine, the Hero Impulse will not only be efficient in normal commuting but will also offer full proof performance on off-road journeys. The company will be initiating the promotions of the vehicle from the ongoing India-England cricket series.
In a statement given to PTI, Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said, "The Impulse is the first bike from us which will be sold only under the Hero brand. We have already started dispatches and it will soon be available at showrooms in metros and Tier-I cities."
The new Hero impulse will be incorporating the technology of erstwhile Japanese partner Honda. He added that as per group’s agreement with Honda, Impulse is with the support of Honda’s technology and Hero is not selling it under the Hero Honda brand.
The other portfolio models of the company in the 150CC segment include Achiever, CBZ Extreme and Hunk.
