The testing of the HX250R is soon to be commenced on Indian roads. The bike will be powered by a 249cc liquid cooled, single-cylinder engine with fuel injection. This engine is capable of producing a top power output of 31PS and a peak torque of 26Nm. Power is transmitted to roads via a six-speed gearbox. There will be two driving modes on offer. In normal mode, the bike delivers 24PS of power, whereas in the performance mode, it goes up to 31PS. This bike measures 139kg, which shows that the motorcycle offers impressive power to weight ratio.

This affordable bike is expected to cross 0-100kmph mark in less than 8 seconds and is likely to hit a top speed of around 160kmph. It is expected to be equipped with optional dual-channel ABS and under-seat exhaust on the quarter litre bike. Expected to be launched ahead of the festive season, the Hero HX250R is likely to be priced around Rs. 1.8 lakh to Rs. 2.0 lakh.
